United Industries Inc. Appoints Mark Ferm as CEO

United Industries Inc. (Bentonville, AR) has announced Mark Ferm as its newly appointed Chief Executive Officer effective Sept. 1. Ferm’s appointment will further strengthen United Industries core plastics manufacturing business and increase strategic capitalization of emerging market opportunities.

Ferm, 49, retains an extensive track record of leadership and business success as vice president of sales for United Industries since he began working for the corporation at age 26 in 1993. Mark succeeds his brother and former CEO, John Ferm, whose father, Don, founded United Industries in 1980.
