Brad Gleeson and Scott Hix, founders of TargetPath LLC, in partnership with Chilin Technology, a Taiwan-based OEM/ODM design, engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in LCD display systems, have announced a new company, Vertigo Digital Displays. The new company has acquired the digital-division assets of Toronto’s based Vertigo Group.
Managing the new company operations will be Ralph Idems as COO and Chris Bolton as CTO. Gleeson will serve as president and CEO.
Vertigo Digital Displays will focus on the continued development of advanced engineered outdoor LCD display solutions first developed by Vertigo Group for outdoor, digital-signage applications. Vertigo projects include the Titan Outdoor Chicago Rail project, Lamar’s Vancouver Rail project, and Astral Media’s “Info-to-go” digital-wayfinding pillars.
Vertigo has more than 10,000 advertising displays installed internationally; more than 1,000 are digital. The company was the first to introduce upgradeable displays that enable their customers to upgrade products as new display technologies emerge.
Gleeson and Hix are founding partners of TargetPath LLC, a global business-development and management-consulting business that specializes in display technology and digital media clients.
Vertigo Digital Displays’ products include the Vertigo Universal Outdoor Display, which is the integrated outdoor display deployed on Chicago commuter train rail platforms. Vertigo’s Environmental Control Unit provides low-power outdoor performance. The Vertigo Universal Outdoor Display offers modular configuration designed specifically for deployment in harsh environments. The Universal Outdoor Display is available in various sizes and configurations; is rated for temperatures from -4 to +120º F; and is IP65-rated for exposure to rain and harsh weather.
