Zund America (Franklin, WI) celebrated the first decade of its U.S. headquarters with an open house on June 13, 2014. Since it was established in 2004, Zünd’s U.S. operation has grown from five employees and 10,000 sq. ft. to nearly 50, who occupy 24,000 sq. ft. of office and warehouse space.

The event began the night before with a kickoff dinner at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee. The event included continuous demonstrations of Zund’s fully automated Board Handling System set up for non-stop production; a 10-ft.-wide G3 with automatic center winder/spreader that was cutting textile; the eurolaser configuration that processed polyester and acrylic, and an M-2500 configuration that routed 2D and 3D items. The highlight was the S3 M-800, equipped with an automatic sheet feeder and robotic off-load arm.

Participating partners/vendors included Accent Signage/Raster® Braille system, Caldera, Canon, Coroplast, Onyx, and SAi/Enroute.

Zund America is the U.S. subsidiary of Zünd Systemtechnik AG, a family-owned Swiss company that has specialized in designing, manufacturing, and marketing modular, digital cutting systems since 1984.
