PRINTING United Expo 2025 was held Oct. 22-24 in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. Signs of the Times’ editorial staff met with attendees and exhibitors, co-hosted a women-in-the-industry event, sought out new and innovative things, and took several photos along the way to give you a sense of how this very vibrant show transpired.

The team from Enfocus donned wizards’ garb and decorated their booth with a Harry Potter theme, making it one of the more memorable booths at the expo.
In collaboration with Enfocus and the spirit of magic, Cutworx USA printed and cut these player cards for a print shop-themed fantasy board game.
Our sister publications Big Picture and Screen Printing magazines honored six Women in Wide Format Award winners and Women in Screen Printing Award winners respectively. We were thrilled to have 10 of the 12 winners present at the ceremony and cocktail reception in our booth.

The SureColor S8170, a new solvent printer from Epson occupied a strategic part of the company’s booth. In the background is the MakeON Studio where a variety of personalized items could be made for attendees.
Flex-Metrics, a company specializing in machine-performance assessment, found a truly novel way to demonstrate how their program works: counting the number of rubber ducks that pass in a shift on the production line. Visitors could even take a duck home as souvenir.
Here we see just some of the fabric items produced by the TS200-1600, the newest Mimaki dye-sublimation printer designed for print service providers.
The General Formulations booth (and, unseen, their team outfits) drew upon the oceanographic artwork of Guy Harvey.
A statue of Benjamin Franklin, parchment in hand, was a low-key yet notable feature of the Alliance’s booth. A nearby sign read, “Strike a pose with the father of printing! Ben Franklin: Innovator, Inventor, Printer.”
A new addition to this year’s expo was the Printing AI Pavilion as the Alliance launched their own AI services. Here, a panel representing three print providers that have integrated AI into their daily production and management answer questions about AI.
Summa’s new Chief Marketing Officer Lieven Bertier poses in front of one of three new cutters the company was exhibiting at Printing United. He told us Summa plans to make “a big impact” next year, so be on the lookout for that.
Christmas in October? Trotec dove past Halloween and Thanksgiving straight into Santa’s favorite time of year. From the decorated tree, toys and gifts to the team members sporting “ugly” holiday sweaters, they made a design statement.
Three team members from Greentex America, whose mission is to be the leaders in driving sustainability in the textile industry, model green, leafy-designed outfits to reinforce their commitment to the environment.
No show gallery is complete without the obligatory vehicle wrap demo shot, and the ORAFOL booth was happy to oblige.
One of many companies offering relatively new and hot direct-to-film (DTF) printers, Procolored’s method to draw attendees into their booth was this (cute and friendly? We can’t say for sure) panda.
With the NFL season underway, football was a recurring theme across the shop floor. Visual Edge IT, a provider of tech services for the printing industry, went all out on this theme with banners, team jerseys and an unmissable, giant football.
Zurn Visual brought a remarkable concept to their booth, using this fantasy palace design to demonstrate their three-dimensional recyclable paperboard displays.
