3M Scotchcal Gloss Overlaminates

3M Commercial Graphics (St. Paul, MN) is releasing Scotchcal Gloss Overlaminate 8528, which is designed to withstand acid dew, UV rays, extreme temperatures and other adverse environmental conditions. The product comes with a two-year warranty for horizontal surfaces and a seven-year warranty for vertical surfaces. The company says the 2-mil cast vinyl is designed for use with solvent, latex and UV inks.

The company is also announcing Scotchcal Gloss Overlaminate 8508, which is designed for high-gloss application to flat and simple curved surfaces. It should be applied by cold-roll lamination to digitally imaged graphics.
