3M™ Corp. (St. Paul, MN) is presenting the Scotchprint® 1080 Wrap Film Series. Sold in four, matte-finish colors – black, white, silver and military green – the slightly textured, dual-cast film provides dimensional durability without lamination and, according to the company, a ready-to-install option for customers who wish to personalize their vehicles. The 3.5-mil film’s repositionable, pressure-activated adhesive contains invisible, air-release channels that assure quick, seamless, bubble-free installation, 3M reports. The company warrantees 1080, which is sold in 60-in.-wide rolls, for three years for vertical installations, and one year for horizontal applications (see warranty information on the site for full details).

3M doesn’t offer a warranty for printing the film (it warns glossy printer inks may not stick well to 1080’s textured surface), but the company states that it’s possible printing might be successfully completed on the media.
