Adaptive Announces Quick Installation in Wisconsin

Adaptive Micro Systems Inc. (Milwaukee), a manufacturer of LED display products, installed one of its 14 X 48 MEDIAMaster digital billboards September 12, just outside of Madison, WI in 22 minutes. The board arrived in one piece, which enabled its quick installation.

Richard Johnson, Adaptive’s president, said the company typically ships its digital billboard in one piece, as opposed to splitting them up into several parts. This allows savings in crane rental.

Adaptive, which has designed and built LED displays for more than three decades, recently entered the digital-billboard market. The company purchased a building in nearby Jackson, WI, in 2007, specifically for constructing the huge boards. Several outdoor-advertising companies have purchased the boards.

“There’s no question, the digital revolution has really impacted the outdoor advertising world,” said Chris Olinger, Adaptive’s vice president billboard sales. “Once these owners have seen how LED billboards really rev up their revenues – even from the point of putting up the sign – they can’t wait to start putting these in their arsenal.”
