Aichi, a Toyota Industries brand that’s distributed by Toyota Material Handling (Irvine, CA) is presenting Boom Lift Series models to the North American market. With a new, quality-assurance program in place, the SP460CJ jib-equipped boom lift model has a 46-ft.-maximum platform height. Maximum platform capacity is 500 lbs. The horizontal outreach range measures 42 ft. The three-stage boom structure allows a more compact stowed position, which permits a larger working range without ever moving the boom lift. The products can be in a low, compact stowed position; operators in smaller sites or with height restrictions also receive the same maneuvering capabilities.
The new “cartridge system” prevents breakage of hydraulic hoses and electrical harnesses. Adoption of a large, iron-wing cover and an engine swing-out system facilitates daily maintenance.
Equipped with diesel engines, the SP460CJ boom lifts feature a standard, four-wheel drive and a harsh-environment package. With a 26-ft.-maximum platform height, the SV2632C electric scissor-lift models are suitable for indoor and construction applications. Maximum platform capacity range is 500 lbs. An extended deck allows the platform length to extend an additional 3 ft. With an AC motor designed specifically for the inverter to run longer duty cycles, Aichi’s scissor lifts also provide advanced driving performance of 1.5 times faster than previous models. AC-drive motors have no springs, brushes, commutator or wearable parts, which reduces planned maintenance.
The new series also features a new proportional steering system that offers smooth machinery operation. This permits for a maximum steering angle of 90°, which allows small, circular turns.
