Akamai Technologies Offers Ecast Rich-Media Network Distribution

Akamai Technologies Inc. (Cambridge, MA), which provides managed services for powering rich media, is announcing it has enabled Ecast, which operates a broadband touchscreen-media network that provides digital music, advertising and other entertainment forms, to distribute content, via its network, to more than 10,000 bars and nightclubs.

The network speeds delivery of new releases of software, music catalogs and promotional content, including full-screen video, to service consumers, advertisers, jukebox operators.
