American Print Consultants Releases Shima Seiki SIP-160F3 DTG Printer

American Print Consultants (APC; Chambersburg, PA) has recently launched the Shima Seiki SIP-160F3 DTG printer, a flatbed printer for printing directly on a variety of finished items with the ability to print multiple items at once across the full bed. The head carriage can be raised or lowered according to the thickness of the item, up to 1.96 in. This allows printing on fabrics with 3D textures as well as directly on completed products, including whole garment knitwear — according to a press release from APC.

The printer is available in two sizes (S and L types) with the option of three different ink types: Textile Pigment, Acid, and Reactive. The textile pigment ink configuration includes white as a choice.

Maximum print area for the S type is 5.2 x 3.2 ft. and is 5.2 x 7.8 ft. for the L type. Fastest printing time full bed for the S type is approximately 2 min. and approximately 4 min. 30 sec. for the L type.
