American Sign Museum Auction Goes Online

No, the American Sign Museum is not auctioning off its vintage sign collection. But, the museum’s annual, fundraising auction of donated sign products and services is now online! Bidding began at midnight on April Fool’s Day and will conclude at the ISA Sign Expo.
For the last seven years, the museum’s major annual fundraising event involved a silent auction held at its booth at the International Sign Association’s (ISA) Sign Expo. Consequently, the bidding was limited to attendees at the show, who had only two and half days in which to bid.
By going online, the entire sign and imaging industry can now participate. Here’s a chance for sign and digital-graphics professionals to buy materials, equipment and services at discounted prices. Available items include:

• Business, estimating and design software
• Printers and cutters/plotters
• Adhesives and tapes
• Vinyl and printing media
• Banners and banner components
• Digital printing services
• Neon equipment, materials and components
• LED and lighting products/systems
• Paints, coatings and laminates
• Sign components and systems
• Awnings and flexible face materials
• Engineering services
• Plastic and other sheet materials

Product manufacturers and distributors may also purchase full-page ads in industry trade journals such as ST, and exhibit space at important sign shows. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a sign company, product manufacturer, wholesaler or distributor. In addition to buying products at reduced prices, you’ll have the good feeling of supporting your industry’s museum. You’d be an April fool not to participate.
The bidding started at 12:00 midnight Eastern Standard Time on April 1, 2011 and concludes on Saturday, April 30 at 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. Those attending the ISA Sign Expo show in Las Vegas, can make last-minute bids onsite at the museum’s booth (#3317). But don’t wait for the show! Go to: www.biddingforgood.com/americansignmuseum

Let the bidding begin!

The American Sign Museum wishes to thank all of its donors as well as its partners including its media sponsors Signs of the Times, Big Picture and Sign Builder Illustrated magazines, as well as its association sponsors — the ISA and related state and regional associations.
