Anokimobi EL Signage

Anokimobi Ltd. (Brighton, England), a product-design company, is offering solar-powered, electroluminescent (EL) signage. Depending on the model, a typical, outdoor, EL sign can provide between six and 14 hours of continuous illumination from daytime charging, the company states. EL signs can also broadcast complex design sequences and detailed messages.

Ideally suited for sunny climates, the EL signs are also suitable for emergency services and hospitals.

Previously, the company developed a more streamlined unit that allowed hard or soft surfaces, such as plastic, metal, wood and fabric, to accommodate an advertising message without the need to first modify its surface. With the addition of the solar-powered element, an EL sign can broadcast almost anywhere for a typical lifespan of more than 4,000 hours with minimal maintenance. The interchangeable, broadcast-design panel can be slotted into place to allow different messages to animate without having to install a new unit. If sunlight isn’t available for a few days, the signs can work from the main supply.
