barco-receives-frost-sullivans-award-for-growth-excellence

Barco, a leader in visualization and display solutions, has received Frost & Sullivan’s 2009 Company of the Year Award for Growth in Excellence in relation to its growth in Greater China. The award was presented in conjunction with Frost & Sullivan GIL 2009: China, and was received by Frank Christiaens, Barco’s president for Greater China, at Frost & Sullivan s 2009 Growth Excellence awards banquet, October 28 at Shanghai s St. Regis Hotel.
Since opening its first office in China in 1995, Barco has quiuckly grown its mainland business. The company s products were deployed at the Shanghai F1 racetrack in 2004, the 2005 Hong Kong International Film Festival and at five consecutive CCTV Spring Festival Shows. Moreover, Barco had more than 50% of LED displays at the many car shows, completed more than 1,000 digital cinema installations with 80% marketshare, and starred in the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the recent 2009 China National Games.
