Davie, FL Fire Dept.
There’s a reason why many young boys – and some girls as well – aspire to be firemen. Their bravery, tenacity and dedication to serving those in need is unquestioned. They’re the fabric of their communities. Thus, a fire truck’s inclusion, especially those with such graphics that capture firemen’s heroic legacy, is guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser at parades, fundraising events and similar activities. MetroWrapz’ design features rustic graphics that mimic vintage drop-shadow and goldleaf artistry, as well as a life-sized rendering of a fireman in full gear worn when heading into harm’s way.
The shop produced the graphics with 3M Controltac with Comply air-release media printed on a Mutoh ValueJet 1624 solvent-ink printer and installed with Geek Wraps felt squeegees and propane torches.
3M Scotchcal 8519 luster-finish overlaminate, applied with a Seal Ultra 62 laminator, will provide fitting preservation for numerous public appearances.

Absolute Perfection’s Chris Fong said, “The customer had an inspiration for a van-wrap design that features a handpainted ‘gypsy’ look. A custom-blending pattern [accomplished using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator software] made each piece look individually treated by hand.”
The shop produced the 347-sq.-ft. wrap with 3M Controltac with Comply air-release media printed on an HP DesignJet L26500 latex-ink printer. The installing trio completed their task with Knifeless Technology Systems’ filament tape and propane torches. 3M Scotchcal 8518 glossy-ink media, applied with a Seal 54-in., pressure laminator, keeps this vibrant, psychedelic array of colors grabbing eyes on Maryland roadways. The installation team completed their work with 3M PA-1 nylon squeegees, Olfa 45°-blade knives and BernzOMatic propane torches.

McLaren of Newport Beach, CA
With premium luxury cars, McLaren dealerships can’t market their high-performance rides with the twirling banners and run-of-the-mill graphics mass-market vehicle makers use. Those who can afford McLarens expect to be impressed; these wraps – one was executed on a 650S Spider, the other on an MP4-12C – meet the goal. Cyn Electric, a multimedia artist whose expertise includes graphic design, created the graphics using Adobe software to produce a built-for-speed motif that celebrates McLaren’s 20th anniversary of winning the 1995 24 Hours of LeMans endurance-driving event. Gatorwraps produced the wraps using 3M’ 1080 pearlescent-finish media, which was decorated with its Mutoh ValueJet 1614 solvent-ink printer.
