Blending Outdoor Activities and Networking Events Help Sign Pro Achieve Balance

Sarah Wu
Forward Signs Inc.
Toronto

Having the opportunities and finding the time to build new and maintain existing personal and business relationships are crucial to work-life balance for Sarah. “I like attending insightful business and networking events to gain updated industry and business knowledge, and to meet new friends and potential sales leads,” she says. Networking events involving sports activities, such as sponsored golf tournaments and walkathons are her favorite; these add fun and healthy elements to her busy work life. During the weekends, Sarah enjoys outdoor activities like camping, kayaking, hiking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter in Canada. Originally from Hong Kong, Sarah emigrated 12 years ago. Before her move, she enjoyed rock climbing and scuba diving adventures in South Asia. “Now, with my seven-year-old kid,” Sarah says, “being able to volunteer helping his school trips to visit a zoo is already a fun day for me!”
