Callas XMP Metadata Extension editor for PDF/A

Callas software announces its pdfaPilot 2 software which adds XMP Metadata Extension Schema Editor, a professional tool for validating and/or creating PDF/A files, compliant with ISO standard 19005-1.

PDF/A is a file format for the long-term archiving of electronic documents. It is based on the PDF Reference Version 1.4 from Adobe Systems Inc. (implemented in Adobe Acrobat 5) and is defined by ISO 19005-1:2005.

Callas says its pdfaPilot 2 has a proven track record as an archiving solution for businesses and government agencies, or anyone that want to store and maintain documents for future use. The system works with Microsoft Office or OpenOffice, an interactive forms, invoices, technical drawings, product documentation, or scuh publications as newspapers, magazines or books.

The software comes with an intuitive interface – a user-friendly switchboard that allows to prepare the PDFs as needed in an office environment. It enables the user to resize, rotate, combine or split pages, embed or substitute fonts, optimize colors for output or online use, or to easily create animated presentations, print optimized handouts or print-ready booklets or whatever is required.
