The International Franchise Association (IFA) has named Catherine Monson, CEO of Propelled Brands (Washington) to its Hall of Fame Award, according to a press release.
Monson has served two terms as chair of the IFA, and as the CEO of FASTSIGNS led the creation of Propelled Brands, the multi-brand platform that encompasses FastSigns, NerdsToGo and MY SALON Suite. She guided the franchising community through the COVID-19 pandemic and advocates strongly for franchising on Capitol Hill.
The Hall of Fame Award recognizes a franchisor or franchisee who has made significant contributions to the franchise business model and advances to the IFA mission, per the release.
“Catherine represents excellence in franchising, from her contributions as a volunteer to the association, to her franchisee-focused leadership in each of her brands, to her advocacy on behalf of the business model during and following the pandemic,” IFA President and CEO Matthew Haller is quoted in the release. “I have been privileged to work alongside and learn from Catherine for the betterment of the franchise business model, and continue to marvel at her unmatched energy and unbridled enthusiasm for franchising. It’s difficult to imagine a more deserving recipient for a Hall of Fame Award.”
