Cincinnati Food Truck and Family of 12

“Taste of Cincinnati” is an annual festival at the end of May in which local restaurants and food vendors bring their wares to the city’s downtown streets for an opportunity for sampling (and gorging) like no other. The vendors who own them bring their food trucks and vans, and one particular food truck is unique not only in its appearance but in its heartwarming backstory, according to local NBC affiliate W-TV reporter Anna Azallion.

Raquel Scott started the business as a way to find time for her family’s 10 kids: five biological and five foster children. She chose donuts because, as she says, “Who doesn’t like donuts?” And she told her husband Randy, who soon quit his job to join Raquel ‘makin’ the donuts,’ that she didn’t want the food truck to look like anyone else’s.

It’s pretty safe to say no other food “trolley” drives the streets of Cincinnati, certainly not one selling donuts.
