Clear Channel Outdoor Partners with Milwaukee to Snag Google Opportunity

Clear Channel Outdoor is helping Milwaukee promote itself as a contender for the Google fiberoptic-test project. The city’s mayor, Tom Barrett, and Common Council President Willie L. Hines Jr. unveiled a new digital billboard ad campaign, donated by Clear Channel, on the southeast corner of N. 25th St. and W. Clybourn St, near one of Clear Channel Outdoor’s digital billboards. Paul Sara, president of Clear Channel Outdoor-Milwaukee branch, also attended the ceremony.
Google plans to test ultra-high-speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations nationwide. Google is encouraging people to go to their website to tell them why they think their community should be selected for the project.
“Google is looking for resident feedback and community interest; we are thankful to Clear Channel Outdoor for helping us generate that interest,” Barrett said.
