Nimlok’s Philadelphia-based facility produced more than 1,000 sq. ft. of graphics for Sanchez Computer Assoc. LLC, which develops scalable and integrated software that provides solutions for the banking and financial-services industries. Andy Carr, Nimlok’s lead designer for the project, said “Although the client didn’t specify as many new materials, we embraced how we could holistically meet their needs and business objectives. We created a design solution that could be repurposed across various tradeshow platforms. We simplified the large graphic components and displayed current information, which will require more frequent changeovers, on smaller panels.”

His team produced the design program using Photoshop and Illustrator software, and fabricated the 30 x 30-ft. exhibit’s graphics with a Roland FP-740 dye-sublimation printer. To install the graphics, Nimlok stretched the material between truss layers, which ensconced all displays — even the round, pillowcase-style conference enclosure.

“The rigging was the most challenging part of the job,” Carr said. “Because of the displays’ dimensionality, we used the weight of the lower truss structure to support and maneuver large graphics into place. We used minimal hardware to give the exhibit impact while creating an open aesthetic.”

Nimlok enlisted Entertainment Lighting Services (Sun Valley, CA) to create accent lighting for the exhibit. The overhead rigging includes spotlights, gobos and other effects that help Sanchez cultivate an innovative ambience.
