Community Standards

As with any type of community, there are certain expectations for behavior among message board participants. While fully embracing spirited discussion, we want everyone to feel comfortable in contributing, and have created some guidelines to that effect. Please read through and abide by them when participating in the SignWeb message boards. If you’d like more specifics, please read this.

In the interests of accountability, we encourage you to use your real name. In no event should you post a message under someone else’s name.

SignWeb does not prescreen messages before they are posted. The boards are unmoderated, except for when we are made aware of disruptive behavior. To make these discussions as friendly and useful as possible we ask that you post nothing that could be deemed inappropriate, offensive, libelous, or that would solicit a criminal act.

Remember that opposing an idea doesn’t give you the right to attack an individual.

Commercial solicitations do not belong on any message boards except in the Wanted and For Sale Classifieds. If you are interested in becoming a SignWeb sponsor, please contact your ST advertising representative. If you are unsure of who that person is, please contact John Tymoski at 513-421-2050, ext. 374.

We offer several discussion topics — please keep your comments to the matter at hand.

Finally, we reserve the right (but are under no obligation) to remove any messages that we find to be in conflict with these guidelines.

If you find a message that is offensive or disruptive, you may help us in two ways:

  1. Copy the message location and e-mail it to john.tymoski@stmediagroup.com. (Capture the location by clicking and holding your cursor over the message link and selecting "Copy this link location" from the mouse menu.) It’s also useful if you reference or include the offensive material in the body of your message.
  2. Ignore it.

Welcome to the SignWeb community. We hope you will enjoy the experience and participate actively.
