Cooley, Formetco Form CF Solar

Cooley Group (Pawtucket, RI) and Formetco Inc. (Duluth, GA) have formed a joint venture, CF Solar LLC. The new company will combine flexible composites with thin-film, flexible, photovoltaic solar panels, EcoSeries LED lighting systems, and Smart Link controllers to create an energy-saving system that includes all the equipment required for integration into the electrical grid for billboards, signs, awnings and transit-shelter applications. In addition, CF Solar will provide complete battery systems for areas that don’t have electrical-power access.
Excess electricity can be sold back to local utility companies through net metering or feed-in tariff programs. CF Solar will design and develop systems to meet customer’s specific applications.
