Daktronics LED Billboard Installed at Entrance to Atlantic City

Daktronics Inc. (Brookings, SD) has installed a 12mm, 16 x 60-ft. LED billboard at the end of the Atlantic City Expressway, at the intersection of Fairmount Ave, at the entrance to Atlantic City, NJ. The board will advertise only for Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. Casino and Hotel locations in Atlantic City, and measures approximately 16 feet x 60 ft. Daktronics was contracted by Garden State Outdoor.
Erin Rossi and a Garden State Outdoor principal, Adam Burkett, viewed Daktronics’ 12mm videoboards at the New Meadowlands Football Stadium, and that convinced them to convert the existing static board to a digital version.
Harrah’s Entertainment in Atlantic City had previously used a static board at the site to promote activities at Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s, Caesars Atlantic City and Showboat. Shortly after contracting the static billboard, Garden State Outdoor began initial discussions with Harrah’s about a digital conversion. After the retrofit, the digital billboard provides rotating spots that promote Harrah’s four properties in a more dynamic and diverse way.
