Daktronics, Netflix Partner on New LED Billboard

A recently installed LED billboard is promoting new Netflix content to passersby in West Hollywood, CA, the culmination of a three-year collaboration between the streaming giant, Daktronics (Brookings, SD), and Consumer Experience Group, AVNetwork writes.

The two-part digital billboard was completed in late 2021. The traditional billboard measures 19 ft. by 54 ft., and the pole display measures 15.5 ft. by 5 ft. wide, the article says.

Travis Bjorns, product manager for Daktronics, told the outlet:

“These displays were designed to look slim and stand out from the traditional billboard. Even the content includes an invisible frame experience for content along the edge of the screens to blend in with the sky and landscape behind it. This gives the experience of content floating in the air and helps attract viewers in a new way.

“There were many logistics to work out during this project including a new support pole which required soil tests, archeology reports and more to ensure the billboard was delivered as planned.”
