The DOOH trade groups are consolidating. The Digital Signage Assn. and the Self-Service and Kiosk Assn. will merge and form a new organization, the Digital Screenmedia Association (DSA). The news follows the Out-of-home Video Advertising Bureau (OVAB) relaunching itself as the Digital Place-Based Advertising Association (DPAA).
The advisory board of the Digital Signage Assn. agreed to the merger April 6. The Self-Service & Kiosk Assn. Advisory Board voted for the move during a meeting April 13, held in conjunction with KioskCom and the Digital Signage Show.
The combined organization will focus on ways to help "users, deployers, vendors, integrators, agencies and network operators in all areas of digital technology applied to audience engagement, including mobile services."
Stuart Armstrong, EnQii North America president and Digital Signage Assn. president, will preside over the DSA. Janet Webster, president of Creative Solutions Consulting and president of the Self-Service & Kiosk Assn., will serve as an executive vice president in the new organization.
