Drytac® (Richmond, VA) is introducing Viziprint®, clear, UV-cure-ink-printable, repositionable-adhesive-backed polyester window film. The material may be applied to glass, acrylic and other, non-porous surfaces with a soap-and-water preparation, the company reports. The material’s custom, embossed release liner impacts microscopic grooves into the adhesive, which expels air with application with a felt burnishing pad or squeegee. The substrate has been successfully tested with OEM inks on Océ Arizona 350GT and 350 XT, EFI-VUTEk QS 3220, Mimaki UJV-160, Agfa Anapurna M1600 Hybrid, and Durst Rho 700 printers. Drytac offers the material in 164-ft.-long, 41- and 54-in. rolls.
