EFI Fiery Upgrade

EFI (Fremont, CA) has released its FS200 Pro system Fiery® digital front end (DFE) upgrade that features high-speed processing, shop automation and expanded connectivity. The FS200 Pro system’s HyperRIP mode, optimized for multiple jobs (it can RIP up to four jobs simultaneously) and, both it and the single-job mode, feature boosted processing performance, EFI said. In addition, the platform includes a Rush-RIP mode that opens a fifth RIP that will process rush jobs if the main processors are busy. The platform enhances color management via its CMYK+ feature that comprises an expanded-gamut, process-color imaging and six- or eight-color imaging. The system also features CIP4-certified JDF DFE connectivity and can seamlessly connect with other JDF-based devices. Further, users can establish automated, bi-directional communication and integration with EFI s™ MIS/ERP and web-to-print products.
