EFI’s Productivity Software Business Acquired by Private Equity

eProductivity Software (EPS; Pittsburgh), the productivity software business of Electronics For Imaging (EFI; Fremont, CA), has been acquired by an affiliate of Symphony Technology Group, a private equity firm.

In a release, EPS said the deal will spur its growth and broaden its capabilities.

“We will of course continue to collaborate closely with our friends at EFI,” said Gabriel Matsliach, CEO of eProductivity Software. “In addition, we will accelerate investments in our technology advancements and modernization, in our level of partnership with customers and in driving global organic and inorganic growth.”

EPS has more than 4,000 customers globally that represent various verticals within the packaging, print and visual communications industries.
