The EGL Co. (Berkeley Heights, NJ) is announcing its BoxStar® LED system for sign cabinets and larger channel letters, which is designed to offer face brightness comparable to conventional fluorescent sign lamps. Supplied as a standard module string, the product can be used as a light source for various signage applications, including mounting on a readily available rail to produce up to 450 lumens per linear foot (900 lumens for double-faced signs), the company reports. The Seoul Semiconductor LEDs offer a CRI higher than standard fluorescent sign lamps, the company reports. It’s also available pre-mounted as an installation-friendly kit for field-retrofit applications.
