E.L. Hatton Sales Co. (Wellington, OH) is presenting the BravoBanner fully automated, banner-finishing system that applies adhesive banner tabs and high-strength reinforcing tape, and punches a hole in each tab. Additional modules are planned for grommet installation. Users select multiple finishing styles by touchscreen or automatic barcode detection – options include tabs or grommets only for light-duty banners, tabs plus tape, or, for ultimate strength, tabs, tape and grommets together. According to the company, a single operator can finish more than 1,000 banners per day with the BravoBanner system. The company states that BravoBanner is adaptable to roll-to-roll production for faster throughput, and, unlike welding, is usable with any stable banner media.
