Elliott Work Platform, Boom Truck

Elliott Equipment Co. (Omaha, NE) is presenting the E160 aerial work platform. Using a telescopic jib that spans 32-55 ft. on the side of a five-section, telescopic, 160-ft. boom, the lift provides a maximum working height of 210 ft. The platform may be mounted to a truck chassis or track carrier, and includes a 15,000-lb.-capacity main winch with corrosion-proof, synthetic rope that reduces the equipment’s weight. According to the company, the platform is ANSI A92.2-compliant, which bypasses the ANSI B30.5 “test pick” requirement.
Elliott is also introducing the 45142 45-ton boom truck, which features a five-section, 142-ft., telescopic boom is designed to mount on a five-axle chassis with a total overall weight of approximately 65,800 lbs including a 32-55’ two-section telescopic jib and a detachable, two-man work platform. For aerial work, the 45142 reportedly includes one of the smoothest and precise remote control systems in the industry, with a LMI display integrated in the remote controller. Other features include Elliott’s steel crane cab with easily replaceable, flat-glass windshield, full color LMI system, frictionless jib extension, and a 360 degree chart without a front stabilizer. The new design also includes Elliott’s reduced-tail swing fixed turret counterweight, and a wide range of custom options and accessories for unique applications.
