The International Sign Association (ISA; Alexandria, VA) announced that Justin Pate of the Wrap Institute and John Duever of Vinyl Images & Design (Fenton, MO) will host a Business Boot Camp for Wrap Professionals (presented by Avery Dennison) as part of the pre-conference slate at ISA’s upcoming International Sign Expo.
The day-long Business Boot Camp is designed for companies and freelancers at all skill levels, and is scheduled for April 23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The Sign Expo opens April 24 and lasts through April 26 at the same location.
Pate said the event is aimed at businesses of all sizes. “The printing and installation part of the wrap world can be a lot of fun. The challenging part is the business side as it can be quite tricky when compared to regular businesses,” he said. “This event will help create a strong business formula and provide clear solutions to overcome the challenges.”
Duever, president of Vinyl Images & Design, said the opportunities in graphic installation are significant – especially for printers who already have “the necessary equipment to take the leap. It’s a matter of finding the right direction to go. The market is growing and most sign and graphics companies have clientele who are getting wraps and graphics. They’re just not using their sign company for it.”
