FastSigns CEO Monson to Appear on Undercover Boss

Catherine Monson, CEO of FastSigns since 2009, will appear on an episode of CBS’ hit TV show, Undercover Boss, which depicts top executives going to work for their companies as rank-and-file employees. From working alongside their company’s front-line workers, the decisionmakers often gain insights that enhance their respective organizations.

About the experience, she said, "Going undercover allowed me to step into the shoes of our employees and franchise partners to better learn the ins and outs of what makes our company successful, as well as where there is room for improvement. We’re not just selling a commodity; we’re helping businesses solve their visual communication challenges. I specifically went undercover to learn what additional training and tools our employees need."

Monson continued, "This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share my story and hopefully inspire young women to become leaders in their industries, despite any obstacles they have had in their lives. This was an eye opening experience that not only impacted my professional life, but my personal life as well. I have realized that I need to take more time for myself and get back to the things that I really love in order to become a better leader and CEO."

The show will air on May 4 at 8 p.m. ST will interview Monson and provide a more in-depth story about her experience after the show airs.
