FDC Graphic Films Inc. (FDC; South Bend, IN) has announced the launch of Lumina® 2520, a translucent cast vinyl developed for backlit applications.

This new series features a synthetic liner as opposed to standard paper to make it easier to process the film during cutting and weeding, according to FDC. In addition, the company states that installers will not have to worry about the liner ripping when installing with a wet application method.

The 2-mil film is available in 26 colors across the spectrum, with new colors coming soon. Lumina® 2520 also has a seven-year outdoor durability.
