Fisher Textiles (Indian Trail, NC) is adding GF5351 Waterfall to its Enviro-Tex fabric line. The material, also known at ET 5351, is made from 60% Repreve polyester yarn, which is made from recycled, polyethylene bottles, and 40% polyester. According to the company, the recycled material offers identical performance and price point to comparable, virgin substrates. Designed for exterior banners, awnings and canopy tents, the 7.5-oz., waterproof material is sold in 122-in.-wide rolls, and the material passes NFPA fire-retardant and AATCC 79-2000 water-repellent tests. The material may be decorated via dye-sublimation and UV-cure-ink printing.
The company is also unveiling five, direct-dye-sublimation fabrics:
• DD 1764 Dazzle, a 4.5-oz., 64-in.-wide material intended for indoor banners, exhibit graphics and retail displays;
• DD 3268 Table Cloth, a 5.6-oz., 68-in.-wide material that’s intended for table covers, exhibit graphics and retail displays;
• DD 7375 feather Flag, a 3.4-oz., 75-in.-wide material with strong bleed-through properties that’s designed for street-pole banners and meets NFPZ 701 fire-retardant requirements;
• DD 1664 Mesh, a 3.4-oz., 64-in.-wide material that’s intended for athletic apparel;
• And, DD 7777 Casino Suede, a 7.4-oz., 66-in.-wide material that’s designed for gaming-table covers and upholstery, and is NFPA 701-compliant.
