FLEXcon Acquires Arlon Assets

FLEXcon (Spencer, MA), a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive films and adhesives, has acquired the business assets of Arlon Engineered Coated Products and Arlon SignTech Ltd. (San Antonio, TX). The merger creates FLEXcon Industrial, LLC. According to the company, which also acquired Arlon’s graphic division in February, the expansion broadens the company’s engineered-product manufacturing and distribution capabilities.

For more than 50 years, FLEXcon has coated, laminated and finished wide-web, roll-to-roll, polymeric materials for graphic, label and electronics applications. Neil McDonough, FLEXcon’s president and CEO, said, “The specialty equipment and employee skillsets enhance our capabilities to produce adhesive tapes and laminates, and positions us for further growth in the industrial sector.”
