Tackling Installs
- We actually reorganized when prepping for installations, and have small tackle boxes labeled and always stocked with supplies. All we need to do is grab the right box and we are good to go. Kind of like a must-have install kit. 🙂 — Erin Rosado, His & Her Studio, Loxahatchee, FL
On Past Articles
- I really enjoyed the recent coverage on cross-training and operational efficiency in the sign industry (see ST, March 2026, page 40). As projects become more complex and timelines tighten, having team members who understand multiple parts of the process from project management and design to fabrication and installation has become incredibly valuable. — Sandra Jones, Image National Signs, Nampa, ID
- We would like to see more national recognition of quality signs fabricated and featured. As far as frugality goes, we don’t cut corners: There is nothing worse than having to return for any kind of immediate repair. I don’t generally care for mergers or acquisitions of sign companies. In my experience there is something lost, whether it be customer care or consistent customer interaction. — Derrick Weinbrecht, Creative Signs, Topeka, KS
- Bravo on the frugality hints! (see ST, February 2026, page 26) — Jeff Thomas, Crossroad Sign, Lynnwood, WA
On Future Ideas
- CNCs: Is it worth paying more for all the bells and whistles, and what are the top brand/model choices for sign companies? — Sara Geiger, Fox Cities Sign, Appleton, WI
- More sign installer stories. — Michael Van der Melen, The Media Works, Norwood, ON, Canada
- Think tank “brain” dumps of what the industry could be in the future. Where’s it going and inspiring stories about crazy thoughts for the future. This could include just fabrication methods, equipment trade tips for what needs improvements, and roundtables to address those ideas, concerns or thoughts. — Adam Brown, Sign Effectz, Milwaukee
