GE Lumination Offers its GE Tetra MAX LED Lighting System for Channel-Letter Signage

GE Lumination (Valley View, OH) is announcing its GE Tetra® MAX LED lighting system for channel-letter signage. The company reports performance attributes in the two-LED, red-module system at .99W per ft. The same power supply is used for all colors and allows up to 54 ft. for the two-LED module system and 80 ft. for the three-LED module system. According to the company, Tetra Max emits up to 82% more lumens than other LED systems, which reduces the total number of LEDs required to achieve maximum brightness.

The patent-pending, 12V design reduces complex wiring and eliminates binning, dip switches and load balancing, the company reports. The system uses such off-the-shelf components as wire and wire connectors for greater convenience. A pre-drilled hole in the module protects components from being damaged by rivets or screws.

Highly visible color markings have been added to the LED modules and product packages for instant, LED-color recognition. Easily legible labels on interior and exterior packaging facilitate product identification. Also, key product information is printed on interior packaging trays for quick reference. An over-molded design facilitates moisture resistance to ensure reliability and long life, which is reportedly 50,000 hours. The RoHS-compliant and UL-recognized system also contains no lead, mercury or glass.
