GM Nameplate and Northern Engraving Joint Venture

GM Nameplate (Seattle, WA) and Northern Engraving (Sparta, WI) have agreed to a joint venture to manufacture nameplates, overlays, dials and decorative trim in China. GM Nameplate opened its first plant in China in 2005; the facility has since seen several expansions. The joint venture will expand finishing and texturing options for metal nameplates and leverage existing technologies for the companies’ China-based customers.

Both companies will continue to manufacture products in the U.S.
