GMG Offers ColorServer Wide Format

GMG (Tuebingen, Germany), a supplier of high-end, color-management and proofing solutions has introduced its GMG ColorServer Wide Format software that includes the GMG SmartProfiler to create printer profiles, and the Barbieri Spectro LFP RT spectrophotometer.

The GMG ColorServer Wide Format color management software allows you to achieve uniform color results across different manufacturers’ printer models. It automates color-space conversions, to normalize different, incoming, RGB or CMYK files into a single, uniform working color space. The software supports both industry- and in-house standards in various files formats.

The centralized software eases the workflow for shops printing with different inks (UV, solvent, aqueous and more) and different substrates on different machines, with different RIPs, to achieve reliable and consistent color results. GMG says its system allows you to increase productivity, reliability and color quality.

The GMG SmartProfiler, included with ColorServer Wide Format, is a user-friendly, systematic wizard that allows you to easily calibrate and profile different output devices without requiring expert knowledge of color management.

The final piece of GMG ColorServer Wide Format is the BARBIERI Spectro LFP RT spectrophotometer, an automatic, measuring instrument for most large-format, flatbed, and UV-cure printed materials, both transmissive and reflective. The spectrophotometer seamlessly connects into GMG ColorServer and allows you to evaluate papers, vinyl, textiles, cardboards, plastic plates, gypsum plates, wood, glass, stone, ceramics plates and more.
