Haivision Acquires CoolSign

Haivision (Montreal and Chicago), a provider of end-to-end, H.264 IP video solutions, has acquired the assets of CS Software Holdings LLC, including the CoolSign product technology. CoolSign, established 1998, provides comprehensive software solutions for enterprise-ready signage deployments. With CoolSign, Haivision can deliver solutions that combine intelligent video with graphics and data to desktops, displays, digital frames and mobile devices.
Mirko Wicha, president and CEO of Haivision Network Video, said, "We are positioned as the only company that can deliver end-to-end technology solutions and a unified infrastructure for communications across all media delivery platforms."
CoolSign boasts a large, installed base of networks and players that cover a broad spectrum from retail to corporate, to pure-play, DOOH networks. CoolSign incorporates sophisticated technology to control, schedule, distribute, display and monitor digital media.
Haivision will maintain the CoolSign brand under the Haivision umbrella and plans strong, cross-product technical development to introduce Makito™ performance HD video encoding into the CoolSign solution suite and extend the Furnace™ IP video system with the signage-control capabilities of CoolSign.
