ErgoSoft (Merrimack, NH) is announcing its ColorGPS ICC profile-generation suite for inkjet printers. An upgrade option to the company’s StudioPrint, PosterPrint and TexPrint RIPs, the software can generate ICC-standard profiles for four-, six-, eight- and 12-color output devices.
ColorGPS QuickColor profiles CMYK inkjets using density readings. ColorGPS Photo is used in a photographic setting with CMYKcmk, and it has preset, black, generation curves for reportedly continuous-tone image separations. ColorGPS Publisher allows for custom-generated, black, generation curves and can create profiles using orange and green inks. ColorGPS HiFi adds native eight-color support. ColorGPS Spectra drives printers with 12 printheads.
