Mutoh America Inc. (Phoenix, AZ) is debuting its Toucan 2.6-meter/102-in., six-color inkjet printer. The machine offers print speeds up to 900 sq. ft. per hour and print resolutions up to 720 dpi for outdoor applications. The solvent-based printer reportedly produces CMYKlclm prints that are UV and water resistant for up to three years in outdoor applications without lamination on various uncoated materials. It supports a print width of 101 in. and a billboard-mode speed of 900 sq. ft. per hour. The product features variable-force pressure rollers for media feeding of various thicknesses and textures of roll media.
