ISA Sign Expo to Include “Hiring Our Heroes” Effort

The Intl. Sign Assn. is inviting military veterans and transitioning service members to its ISA Sign Expo to learn more about careers in the on-premise sign and visual-communications industry as part of its Hiring Our Heroes campaign. The tradeshow will be held April 23-26 in Orlando.

ISA will welcome participants on Friday, April 25, for a guided tour of the tradeshow floor, which will feature more than 500 exhibitors. They can then meet one-on-one with more than 20 of the top national sign companies and their executives regarding such positions as job installers, sales people, fabricators, operational managers, artists and electricians.

Hiring Our Heroes, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, intends to put more than half a million military veterans and spouses to work in 2014. Military unemployment rates have been higher than the overall unemployment in recent years. In addition to the event during ISA Sign Expo, sign companies can search through resumes or post open positions on the Hiring Our Heroes website.

Military veterans or transitioning service members wishing to participate in ISA Sign Expo can learn more about the event and fill out a registration form on the www.signexpo.org website.
