JDS Industries Now Entirely Employee Owned

JDS Industries (Sioux Falls, SD) is now a 100% employee owned through an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), according to a news release.

Founded by the Sletten family in 1990, JDS Industries announced the change in ownership at a company-wide event on Jan. 23. and drew excitement from the staff. Scott Sletten and Mike May were the owners of JDS prior to the conversion to ESOP. May was recently announced as president and Sletten will remain CEO. JDS will continue to operate as it does now, with no change in the current management of the company.
