Kett Tool (Cincinnati) is presenting its KD-446L profile shears, which feature high-quality, steel blades that are heat-treated and precision-ground to allow extended operation, the company reports. They cut cold-rolled, mild steel up to 18 gauge, as well as such non-ferrous metals as aluminum, copper and brass, at radii as tight as 3 in. The shears feature a 5-amp pistol grip, and a variable-speed, 2,500-rpm motor, and also cuts spiral duct, wire mash and various sheet material at speeds up to 28 ft. per minute.
