Kett Tool Co. (Cincinnati) is unveiling its KD-446 profile shears, which are designed for cutting corrugated metal. According to the company, the lightweight shears cut cold-rolled, mild steel up to 18 gauge thick at a 3-in. or larger radius. The tool also cuts aluminum, copper, brass and other non-ferrous metals up to 0.9 in. thick, and is available in left- and right-curved-blade configurations. The KD-446 operates with an industrial-strength, variable-speed motor, and is capable of cutting speeds up to 28 mph.
