La Crosse Sign Group Celebrates 100th Anniversary

La Crosse Sign Group (Onalaska, WI), which manufactures and ships signs throughout North America, is celebrating 100 years of business. Founded in 1917 as La Crosse Sign Co. by Theodore Schultz, La Crosse became Collins-La Crosse Sign Co. in 1954. In 1975, current owner/president Paul Fuchsel joined La Crosse, and in 1988 he purchased the company. Since then, La Crosse – which was rebranded as La Crosse Sign Group earlier this year – has grown from 14 to 65 employees and expanded to two more locations (Eau Claire and Madison) in Wisconsin. Fuchsel, who has five family members working at La Crosse, is a past president of the Wisconsin Sign Assn. and World Sign Assn., as well as a past central sign chairperson for the Intl. Sign Assn.
