LEDs Illuminate Famous Boston Church

LEDs have been blessed by Boston’s Old North Foundation, which oversees the Old North Church, a beacon for Paul Revere’s warning during the American Revolution. The church steeple displayed two lanterns that signaled British troop movements on April 18, 1775. Now LEDs illuminate ceiling vaults inside the church.

Eighteen LED strips, donated by Philips Solid-State Lighting Solutions, have replaced incandescent bulbs, which frequently burned out and caused ceiling paint to peel.
