Lenoir Installs 52 New Wayfinding Signs

The city of Renoir, NC has installed 52 of 53 wayfinding signs around town, located on major corridors and city streets, including Downtown Renoir. The last sign will be installed once the new Hospital Ave. sidewalk is completed.

City staff worked with Destination by Design (Boone, NC) to create signage based on the city’s branding. The city council approved the project at their January 2024 meeting. Locations for the signs are limited to cultural, historic, art, sport attractions and other destinations like visitor centers. Privately owned businesses are not allowed on the wayfinding signs per state and federal standards.
